They Need Us

The Mission of Into Kenya is to provide opportunities for people to be in ministry to the children of Irechelo Village in Kenya by providing water and a facility to support their educational, physical and spiritual development.

Together We Can Make A Difference!

PHASE 1 - LAND

In 2016 we went to Kenya, and upon coming home we told our story, and invited our friends and church family to give funds to purchase the land for a well and building.  With one event, lots of love and God, it happened: $10,000 was raised for the land.

The land has been purchased by the Mama Alice Foundation in Kenya.

PHASE 2 - WATER

At the end of 2019, we reached our goal of raising $31,000 to provide a water source for the village and future children’s center.  A 10,000 liter holding tank has been installed. Approximately 2,000 people use the well weekly.

Water was located and a well was drilled in the summer of 2020.

PHASE 3 - BUILDING

With God’s help, we plan to raise $300,000 for a building that will provide a kitchen, multi-purpose room, toilets, and facilities to provide educational, physical, and spiritual support for the children in Irechelo Village.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

Our Mission

The mission of the IntoKenya.org is to provide opportunities for people to be in ministry to orphan and vulnerable children of Irechelo Village of Kenya by providing a facility and resources for their health, education, and spiritual development.

Safe Drinking Water

Into Kenya has completed a much-needed project of digging a well and erecting a holding tank that supplies fresh clean water for the village. Approximately 2,000 people use the well weekly.

Feed the Hungry Children

In a population of 2,000, approximately 300 are orphans and vulnerable children. Currently Into Kenya provides a monthly nourishment program that includes a meal and mentoring, as well as a yearly Christmas meal.

Nutritious Meal with Beans and Rice

Nutritious Food

A meal of beans and rice provides a full protein for only $2.10 per child per day.

Educational Support

Children frequently miss school because of lack of funds to buy required uniforms or books. Tutoring helps keep them from falling behind their peers.

Children's Center

Plans to build the Mama Alice Children’s Center that will provide a kitchen, multi-purpose room, toilets and facilities to provide educational, physical and spiritual support for the children.

Mama Alice

Mama Alice is a pastor and peasant farmer near Kakamega, who has helped needy children for many years. She realized that there are more children than she can help alone. Her dream is to provide water, food, clothing, shelter, as well as education for the orphans in Irechelo Village. Mama Alice is the mother of Gama Awya, Executive Director of the IntoKenya.org Board of Directors.
